Capturing motherhood: Maternity session in Innovation quarter, Downtown Winston-Salem

I am always fascinated by that warm, glowy light during the golden hour, especially when capturing the beauty of a soon-to-be mom with her little bundle of joy. The Innovation Quarter in Winston-Salem, a chic urban setting with industrial vibes, all wrapped up in the history of what used to be the R.J. Reynolds tobacco factory, provided the perfect photo location for our photoshoot. The area has been transformed into a vibrant hub of creativity and innovation, while still retaining its industrial charm. With its blend of old brick buildings, modern architecture, and the distinctive remnants of its tobacco factory past, it offered a captivating backdrop for our Maternity session.

This mom rocked all the maternity gowns for her session. The first look was a chic, tight-fitting white dress that accentuated her silhouette against the gritty urban landscape. This mermaid style gown provided a timeless elegance and allowed her to stand out amidst the rough textures of the old tobacco factory walls.

And the mint-green dress is one of my personal favorites. The soft, pastel color added a fresh and modern touch, contrasting beautifully with the surrounding industrial elements. This mom was pure gorgeousness with her baby bump, effortlessly posing like a pro. She made the entire shoot a breeze, bringing a natural elegance to every frame.

As the sun started hitting the horizon, we wrapped up our session on the rooftop parking lot at Bailey Park. The sunbeams between the buildings cast her in a warm, golden glow that was nothing but magical. Her pink, flowy dress—the way it caught the light, the wind, just flowed effortlessly. The combination of the Winston-Salem buildings, those warm sunbeams, and her beautiful posing, just made the ending perfect.
